FAQs & Troubleshooting

Socks won't heat

Hardware checks to run before you contact support.

Before assuming the heater is broken, walk through these checks. Eight times out of ten one of them is the real issue.

1. Did you actually start heating?

The app's power circle in the middle of the dial needs to be on. If the circle is greyed out, the heater is paused — tap once.

2. Is the battery actually connected?

Look at the top of the app. Each sock should show a battery icon. If one of them is missing or shows "disconnected", the battery has gone to sleep — short-press the power button on that battery to wake it.

3. Is the temperature target above your foot temperature?

Sounds obvious — but the sensor compares against your actual foot temperature inside the sock. If you set 30 °C and your foot is already 32 °C, the heater won't fire at all (constant temperature, doing its job). Bump the target to 45 °C and you'll feel it within 30 seconds.

4. Is the battery clipped in correctly?

Open the sock-cuff pouch. The battery has two pins that align with two contacts in the sock. If it's only half-seated, the sock won't heat even though the battery is on. Push it firmly in until you feel a small click.

5. Is the battery low?

Below ~10% the heater can throttle. Check the per-sock battery icon in the app — if it's red, charge it.

When to contact support

If all five checks pass and the sock genuinely doesn't warm up, contact the developer at [email protected] with:

  • App version (Settings → About in the app)
  • Phone model and OS version
  • A short description of what happens (LEDs, battery icons, etc.)
  • A photo of the sock-pouch contacts if you can
